Bay Area Bike to Wherever Days 2024 runs from May 1-31st
Thousands of people across the Bay Area rode their bikes to work, school, fun, and everything in between during the whole month of May. Riders Pledge to Ride and then log their rides as part of the Bay Area Bike Challenge!
30th Anniversary of Bike to Work Day on Thursday, May 16th
On Thursday, May 16th, nearly 300 energizer stations across the Bay Area handed out commemorative tote bags and goodies to riders during commute hours and all day long.
Bike to Work Day has been going strong since 1994 when it was started as a way to promote bicycling for transportation as well as to give visibility to the thousands of riders commuting that way already. 30 years later, biking is bigger and more important to celebrate than ever! That’s why we encouraged the Bay Area to ride 30,000 miles and beyond in the Bay Area Bike Challenge.
