This fun workshop is taught by one of our instructors certified by the League of American Bicyclists, with funding provided by the City of Oakland. National Bike Month events in Napa include: May 4 – Kidical Mass Ride: A fun and casual ride through downtown Napa for kids and parents; May 9 – Bike to Work and School Day: energizer stations along commute routes and welcome tables at participating school sites throughout the county, as well as KVYN live broadcasting from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Energizer Station at Napa County’s Administration Building; and May 18 – Bike to Shop Day in Napa County: exclusive deals at participating restaurant and retailers when you arrive on two wheels.

Bike & Roll to School Week, April 15 - April 19, 2019. Schools and families throughout San Francisco will celebrate Bike & Roll to School Week April 15-19! Thousands of students, parents and teachers at 100 schools across the city will use their own pedal power to roll to pre-school, elementary, middle and high school. Commute.org's 2019 Commuter Challenge Commuters travelling to, from, or through San Mateo County will want to join Commute.org's 2019 Commuter Challenge during April and May. Participants who log alternative commute trips throughout those months will have a chance to win weekly prizes, as well as one of five grand prizes. Additionally, anyone who logs bike trips during Bike to Work Week (May 6 - 10) will be entered to win a special bike commuter prize pack (valued at $200) that includes a commuter bag, U-lock, and repair toolkit. Earth Day with SJ Made Ride. Hosted by Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, the ride is scheduled for Saturday, April 20 and will help BTWD riders start getting their legs ready for the big day. Riders will learn about San Jose's maker culture with artisanal works of art from SJ Made, nibble on yummy bites, and ride through the Better Bikeways network while learning about its cool bike lane features. For riders new to bicycling or timid to try urban riding, SVBC staff and ride leaders will be on hand to help teach them everything they need to know.

Bike Month Kick Off. Celebrate May’s Bike Month and Bike to Work Day may 9, come to the Fairfield Farmers Market Thursday, May 2 from 3 pm – 7 pm in downtown Fairfield. Look for the bike-powered blender and have fun making a smoothie using pedal power! Information about biking in Solano County will be available. As part of the Bike Month celebration, Solano Mobility, a program of the Solano Transportation Authority, will be assisting in community rides throughout the county.
